Short track Bachelor Digital Media Manager

Thomas More University College, Mechelen, BE

After finishing my bachelor in Journalism, I knew I wasn't done studying yet. I wanted to add on to what I'd learned, but I craved a new perspective. In this program, I am learning about storytelling, social media and advertising from a marketing viewpoint and getting to work on "real life" projects.

Broadcast Journalism

As a part of my Journalism degree from Artevelde, I studied abroad in London, Ontario for four months. I always knew I wanted to take on this adventure, and I am very grateful that I did. The Broadcast Journalism program taught me very specifically how to write, publish and present for radio broadcasting, as well as all the valuable lessons that come with an abroad experience.

After high school I chose to go into Journalism, not really knowing what I was signing myself up for. I ended up loving the program and my years in Ghent. During the program we got to put everything we'd learned to use and were provided with a solid theoretical base, from camera techniques to Belgian politics and history.

  • Production and editiorial work for several Woestijnvis shows.
  • Research related to shooting location, candidates and items on shows.
  • Gained experience on sets during trial shooting days.
